| August 4, 2011 took a wrong turn - a right instead of a left. Mom and her calf somehow found their way from the ocean into the Klamath River. I can see them and hear them spouting from my home. | The baby whale found its way to the ocean on Saturday night, July23. Momma is still in the Klamath River and all agencies are trying to move her to the ocean. They spent the entire day trying to no avail yesterday trying numerous tactics to convince her that she should be in the ocean. |

These are some photo's of the attempt on Sunday July 24th get the mother out of the river, Here is the initial flotilla of boats as they came down the mouth of the Klamath River to start their operation.
